Hi.

My name is Nicholas Harper, and this is my blog. I created this site for a number of reasons, but mostly because I have a lot of opinions.  I like to disagree with people (including myself), so if I start contradicting myself, well, that's just part of the process. I also want to share my experience of being a gallery owner, an artist, and a novice art collector.  My desire is for other artists to learn from my mistakes so that they may avoid making similar ones. For the collector, I hope to provide some information the typical mainstream art media fails to share.  For those who have never bought art before, I hope to make art less of a mystery.  

New articles will be posted each Monday afternoon.  The articles will cover any number of issues common to artists, gallerists, curators, those who love art, and anyone else who is curious about what’s going on in my life.  I’ll even throw in some personal stories… woohoo!  

I encourage you to leave comments and feedback. Until I find a real web designer (who’s willing to work for free:), comments will have to be emailed to me, where I can then post them on this site.  I would also encourage those that have experience in the arts, at any level, to send me your stories and ideas as they pertain to the arts. I will be happy to put them under FRIEND POSTS.  If you have any suggestions as to people / places / things that might be fitting for this blog, feel free to send me an email with a link.  Also, send me your events.  Each week I’ll post one event that I think everyone should check out.
